Max A. Morley passed away on July 10 after an extended illness. Born on July 22, 1923, he lived his entire life on the centennial Warren Woods Road farm that he loved. His parents were Carrie and Walter Morley.

He leaves his wife of 70 years, Emma, and three children: Beth (Jack Lawrence), Steven, and Michael (Linda). He has six grandchildren: Lisa (Ben Slota) and Abram Morley; Benjamin (Tracy Piasecki) and Tobias Lawrence; Nicholas (Amanda) and Heather Morley. He watched his great grandchildren grow: Dylan, Dallas, Josephine, Charlotte, Max and Lola. The family is especially appreciative of the neighbors who have helped and for his supportive family including his sister, Mary Leazenby, brother-in-law Howard (Elsie) Doughten, and sister-in-law, Margaret Renbarger. Max Morley's name is synonymous in Berrien County with conservation and respect for the land.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on July 21, 11:00 a.m., at the Galien United Methodist Church. A luncheon will follow the service. Donations may be made in memory of Max Morley to the Galien United Methodist Church, 208 N. Cleveland Avenue, Galien, MI 49113.
