Bradley Price Jae, age 46 died at the home of his parents at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2006.
He was born at University Hospital in Cleveland on April 1, 1959 to Hugh and Nancy (Shoemaker) Jae.
Mr. Jae graduated in 1977 from Alliance High School and 1982 from Mount Union College.
Following college graduation he entered the U.S. Navy and completed all the requirements for the Navy Seal Program. He was stationed on the USS Crommlin whose home base was Long Beach, California; with tours of duty including the Far East. After serving four years and following an honorable discharge, he returned to graduate school to complete additional social science courses. Brad became the Program Director of Chemical Dependency Services at BHC Alhambra Hospital in Rosemead, California and had served in that position since 1991. BHC's primary focus is mental health services.
Bradley was a member of St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Long Beach. He returned to the Alliance home of his parents in October, 2005. After initial treatment at the Cleveland Clinic, he became a patient of Alliance Hospice.
He was an avid sports enthusiast, member of the local YMCA, and participant in the Los Angeles Marathon on two occasions.
Survivors include his parents, Hugh and Nancy; son, Samuel Price Jae of Long Beach California; one brother, Jeffery Alan (Elizabeth) Jae, and nephews Ryan and David, of Tampa, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Alliance Visiting Nurse Hospice Association, 885 S. Sawburg Ave., Ste. 106, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
