SHORT

FORSYTH --- Ethel Short, 71. died Thursday at the Rosebud Community Nursing Home.

She was born Nov. 2, 1903, in Augusta, WI., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Scoles.
She came to Forsyth, MT., in 1917 and was married to Mack Short Nov. 2, 1923, in Forsyth.
They lived in Colstrip from 1929 to 1956 moving back to the Forsyth area. They farmed and ranched south of Forsyth until her death.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and The Colstrip Community Church.

Survivors include the widower; one son, Jerold of Forsyth; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Smith and Mrs. Louise Sims, both of Forsyth and Mrs. Josephine Pemberton of Federal Way, WA.; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Larson of Spokane, WA.; two brothers, Roy of Forsyth and Alvin of Algona, WA.;
13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beals Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Norman Austin of the Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial in in the Forsyth Cemetery.
