Jerry G. Counts, 55, of Kentuck departed this life Friday, June 14, 2002, at his home of a short illness. He was born Sept. 12, 1946, at Kentuck, a son of the late Carroll Gordon and Winfred Lou Workman Counts. A son, Jerry Scott Counts, preceded him in death.
He was a lifelong resident of Kentuck. He was a disabled surgery attendant from Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital. He was a medic in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico with the Rev. Gary Ditoto officiating. Burial will follow in the Counts Cemetery, Kentuck.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico.
