Less than 5 months later Frank died of TB leaving his widow with 4 children under the age of 10. Their daughter Lucretia died just 3 weeks later. In October their eldest son Albert died of an accidental gunshot, possibly self inflicted. Bessie packed up her children and rode the train home with the body of her son to be buried in Gonzales near her family.
