Charles Ness, 70, of 2225 Gershon Street, Northside, died in his home Tuesday afternoon. Born in Germany, he spent the major portion of his life in Pittsburgh. The husband of the late Augusta Kost Ness, he leaves two sons, Charles, Jr., and Elmer Ness; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Schoeppner, Mrs. Louis Heil and Mrs. Charles Dengler, and 24 grandchildren. Mr. Ness was a member of the G.B.U. district No. 83, of which he had been treasurer for 32 years. Funeral services will be held from his home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with interment in St. John's Cemetery.
