Ernest Cortez Lang was born on on a farm west of Litchfield, NE to Henrietta and Cortez Lang.
He graduated from Litchfield High School, and then managed his 640-acre farm while his father was chairman of the Democratic Committee in their county.
In 1938, he and Lila Patterson came to California where her folks lived and were married at the Little Church of the Flowers.
He worked 36 years as a special equipment operator for the Long Beach Harbor Dept., retiring in 1980.
He is survived by his loving daughters: Judy, June, Geri; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren;
and three great great grandchildren.
