Jack was born in Tower City, PA on October 10, 1921, the son of the late William and Ida (Young) Fetterhoff. He was the widower of Alma (Bain) Fetterhoff, she preceded him in death on July 24, 2007.
He worked as a Supervisor at Letterkenny Army Depot Chambersburg,PA., for thirty years before retiring in 1976. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from August 1940 till July 1945. Jack landed in France on D Day and served 35 months in Europe. He was a member of the VFW in Mercersburg, PA and a member of the American Legion Post 561, McConnellsburg, PA.
He is survived by his sister Ruth Ochs of Tower City, PA, a grandson Anthony Fetterhoff of McConnellsburg, PA, and 4 nieces Patricia Young, Lucille Daub, Donna Erdman, and Zella Leese. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bessie May (Lowery) Fetterhoff, a son John H. Fetterhoff Jr., 3 brothers Harry, Charles, and Billie Fetterhoff and a sister Grace Umbenhauer.
Funeral Services will be held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg,PA, at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 24th, with Pastor Richard Bernhard officiating. There will be a visitation held one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
Military Services will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
