The sad intelligence of the death of Mrs. Joseph Polster at the Beloit General hospital, Thursday, December 23rd, reached Stratford early Friday morning. Angeline Weber Polster was born at Theresa, Wisconsin, April 23, 1876, and lived at that place from the time of her marriage to Joseph K. Polster, November 5, 1895. In 1908 the Polster family came to Stratford and have made their home here till the present time on the Polster farm three miles east of the village. To Mr. and Mrs. Polster were born 7 children, all of whom are living. At the time of her death Mrs. Polster was 47 years and eight months of age. Funeral services were held at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Monday, December 27th, the pastor, Rev. Fr. Schumaker officiating. The large number of relatives and friends who gathered to pay their tribute of respect to the deceased helps to portray the high esteem in which she was held in this community. Among those from out of town who were in attendance were Mrs. Elisabeth Weber and daughter Margaret, Mrs. Marie Wesley, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Weber, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Weber, Mr. and Mrs. John Weber, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kestel and children, Jacob Deeringer, Joseph Deeringer and Robert Wachter of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Math Weber and children, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Berner and children of Rozellville; Alphonse Kaiser of Stratford; Mike Polster, John and Joseph Weber of Theresa; Mr. and Mrs. John Polster of Neosho; Math Thorn, Sr., Math Thorn, Jr., and Mrs. Henry Duellmann of Colby; Wm. Frings of Rib Lake and August Zimmel of Hartford.
