Thomas ran a number of hotels in Yorkshire, Rushford, Farmersville, NY . he & his wife Rachel bought land in Yorkshire, NY in 1831 & then sold it to his brother, Jabez P Walkeron 3/3/1852. In 1865, Thomas was appointed Deputy Sheriff of County by George W White, Sheriff on 1/13/1844 He lived in Ellicottville, NY
On 10/22/1846 Thomas was appointed Under Sheriff by John Palmer ( he lives in Ellicottville, NY )
Thomas may have gone out to San Francisco, California due to the GOLD RUSH. They said that every 1 in 5 gold miners died in 6 months, because of saloons, gambling & disease: Cholera & Typhoid Fever, and robbery.
Rachel was buried with her husband, Thomas in Rushford Cemetery in Rushford, NY
