*Benjamin Dansard, one of Monroe's most prominent business men, died suddenly at his residence about 7:30 this morning, while breakfasting. Mr. Dansard was a native of France, was 75 years old and had resided in Monroe 52 years. He established the banking house of B. Dansard & Son in 1858, which has since that time ranked as one of Monroe's best conducted business institutions. He leaves but one son, Benjamin, the junior member of the firm."
