He graduated from Fitchburg High School and was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran.
Harold loved aircraft and enjoyed watching them at the airport. He also loved music, playing the guitar and spending time with family and friends.
In 1950 he married his beloved wife, Jeanne Miriam Barbour and together raised 2 daughters.
