Mrs. Eva Jewel Cromer, age 89, of Gaylesville, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012, at Oakeview Nursing Home in Summerville GA.
Funeral services will be at 3 pm. on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Perry Funeral Home chapel. With Billy Dumpsey and Rev. Larry Elliott officiating. Burial Will follow in Hardeman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 pm on Monday.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews, Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of F Hall of Oakview Health & Rehab.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sammuel Comer, brother James Sitton, sisters, Louise Morgan, Irene Earli, Cora Early, Jeffie Rogers, Haynie Bain, and Netll Sitton.
She is survived by her sons, Troy Comer of Charlotte, NC, Greg [Terree] Comer of Albertville, Al, and Grant [Joyce] Comer of Centre; daughters, Kay Gouger of Centre and Carol [Malcolm] Mitchell of Menlo, GA; sister, Sue Fuller of Mobile; grandchildren, Phillip [Patty] Comer of Charlotte, NC. Missy Comer of Ashville, Brian [Sherrie] Comer of Rainsville, Jessica [Shane] Murphy of Gaylesville and Megan Mitchell of Menlo, GA. ten great-grandchildren; special caregiver, Alice Knight, special nieces and nephews.
Mrs Comer was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter to the late Jesse Charles and Lunie Earwood Sitton and was a member of Gayesville First Baptist Church.
