BETTENDORF - Arlo W. Cline, 90, of Bettendorf, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility in Bettendorf.

Burial in Davenport Memorial Park.

Born on September 10, 1922, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, he was the son of Arlo W. H. and Blanche (McWilliams) Cline. On February 15, 1942, in Burlington, Iowa, he married Ruth Winifred Cline.

In his early years, Arlo was a buyer in dry goods. He owned and operated A.C. Lock Service in Bettendorf for 22 years, retiring in 1998. Arlo was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Bettendorf, Associated Locksmiths of America and was a charter member of the Iowa Locksmiths Association, Masonic Hamilton Lodge #664 of Bettendorf and High Twelve Club #47 of Davenport.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 70 years, Winifred; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Steve Mayhew of Bettendorf and Pamela and Louis Vaccaro of Chandler, Ariz.; grandchildren, Samantha Mayhew of Bettendorf, Kristin (Josh) Snowbarger of Davenport, Nicholas (Leslie) Vaccaro of Irving, Texas, and Kelli Vaccaro of Chandler; great-granddaughter, Grace Vaccaro of Irving; brothers, Dr. Robert Cline of Sheboygan, Wis., and James Cline of Mason City, Iowa; and sister, Constance Smith of Rochester, Minn.

Arlo was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Merril.
