Mrs. Mary Westerman was born Aug. 17, 1869, in St. Clair county, Ill., and departed this life at her home three miles west of Clever Feb. 24, 1931, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 23 days. She was united in marriage to Fred Conn. To this union were born two children, John Conn and Lula Hutter. Later she was married to Ferdinand Westerman. To this union were born four children: Louis and Otto Westerman, Mrs. Emma Burky and Mrs. Emelia Gardner. Besides the children she is survived by three brothers and two sisters. She became a member of the Evangelical church in early life. Funeral services were held at the home at 3 p.m. Feb. 25, 1931, with Rev. Woodard of Aurora officiating. Burial was in the Smart cemetery under the direction of Wilburn Maples Funeral Home.
