Born on May 18, 1915 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Albert S. Bailey and Louise (Brent) Bailey.
He was a retired owner and operator of Paul B. Bailey Lumber Company and Joy Centers; a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church, Moorefield Lions Club, LOOM #358 of Moorefield, Elks Lodge of Huntington, WV; Wednesday Evening Prayer Group and served in Mississippi and West Virginia National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Coker Bailey of Moorefield; three daughters, Ann B. Rhodes of St. Louis, MO, E. Frances Murphy of LaVale, MD; and Elizabeth B. Thomas of Stephens City, VA; one daughter-in-law, Joy Pratt Bailey of Moorefield; two sisters, Olive B. Blalock of Mobile, AL; Lydie B. Mandrona of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by one son, Albert Mikell.
