The son of Oscar and Rebecca Wyant Carlson, he was born May 16, 1918 in Kingston, N.Y.
He was a member of the Ulster Heights United Methodist Church; a life member of the Ulster Heights Rod and Gun Club; he was the former Commander of the Ellenville V.F.W.; past President of the CSEA; and he worked with the C.C.C. camps before World War II. Mr. Carlson was active during the building of Lippman Park. He served in the United States Army Engineers during World War II.
