Roy Gene Hill, 74, of Kansas City, KS, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 2, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in McLouth, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to The American Heart Association, 6800 W. 93rd, Overland Park, KS 66212. Roy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nellie Hill, of the home; daughter, Brenda Walston, Kansas City, KS; son, John Hill, Broken Arrow, OK; three grandchildren, Nicole, Eric and Bryan; four great-grandchildren, Ariel, Curtis, Courtnee and Vicki Sue; and brother, Forrest Hill of California.
