When Grandaddy retired from the ore mines, he had a wood working shop in the back yard where he built bee hives, chairs and other things. He was real good at that.
He and Grandmaw was born in Tennesse. They moved to Atalla Alabama early. He and uncle Ed worked in the ore mines there. Then moved to Powderly and worked in the ore mines around there.
He was a Golden Glove boxer around B'ham.
