Gordon Raymond Alfonso, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy who proudly served his country, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the age of 52. He was the beloved husband of 17 years to Angel Ducoing Alfonso. Devoted son of Barbara Bordelon and Manuel Alfonso. Step-father of Travis Ducoing (Sara). Brother of Dean Alfonso (Janelle). Uncle of Melissa, John, Jessica and River Alfonso; Todd and Todd Johnson Jr. and Ralph Dufour. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives, close friends and his grandkitty, Booger.

Gordon was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was an avid and proud Saints fan, a fisherman and a well known chocoholic who loved his cigarettes. He will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, son, son-in-law, step-father, brother, brother-in-law and a friend to many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, September 25th from 6:00PM – 11:00PM. A funeral service celebrating his life will begin at 7:00PM. Burial will be private
