In Memory of JOHN DALRYMPLE who was born July 27th 1799, married to Sarah E. Dillard daughter of James Dillard, Esq. and Mary E. Dillard on the 17th day of February 1831 and Departed this life on the 23rd September 1843. Aged 44 years 1 month and 21 days.

Sarah traveled with her father to Alabama and is buried there in Tallapoosa County.
