Mrs. E.A. Nordling, a well known woman here dies after short illness; was sick only a few days; was Waukegan High School student in the eighties; leaves five children
Waukegan people were shocked this morning to learn of the death of Mrs. E. A. Nordling, who passed away at about 3 o'clock this morning after an illness of over a week. Her death came as a surprise, for while it was known that she has been ailing for several days, no one was aware of her serious condition, and it had even been reported that she was slightly better yesterday.
Mrs. Nordling, who was Harriet Lucy Weller, was born on March 25 1872 at Lansing, Minn. In 1881 when nine year of age, she came to Waukegan with her mother and a brother and attended the Waukegan High school. At the time of her marriage to Ernest A. Nordling, on June 19 1895, she was residing in Lake Forest where she had removed upon leaving school here.
Besides her husband, mother, and two brothers, William S. Weller of Elmhurst, Ill., and Hiram O. Weller Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Nordling leaves five children.
Funeral service are to be held from the house at 439 North Genesee St at 1:30 Friday, Rev Richardson of the First Congregational church officiating. The body will then be taken to the vault In Oakwood, where It will he held pending the construction of the mauseoleum here.

Gravesite Details
Originally buried in the Mausoleum but was reburied in an unmarked grave when the mausoleum was dismantled in 1997. A map of the unmarked graves can be obtained from the City of Waukegan. The reburial was handled by Marsh Funeral Home.
