Amity Woman Passes in Hospital Here
Funeral services were held here Tuesday for Saima Z. Burch, 29, Amity, who died Sunday after an illness of two months.
The wife of Earl B. Burch, postmaster of Amity, she was brought to a hospital here three days before her death.
Mrs. Burch was born at Red Lodge, Mont., Oct. 29, 1908, the daughter of Richard and Amanda Pumala, and had lived at Amity 15 years. She was a member of the Lutheran church and affiliated with Neighbors of Woodcraft.
She married Mr. Burch at Vancouver, Wash., in 1928. She is survived by her widower, and two sons, Richard and Gerald. Other survivors include a brother, Matt Pumala, McMinnville, and two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Marx and Mrs. Viola Loop, both of Amity.
Services were held at Macy memorial chapel here with the Rev. S.J. Osborne officiating. Burial was in the Amity cemetery.
