Mrs. Husted Jones
A memorial service for Mrs. Mable E. Jones, 72, of San Gabriel, Calif., who died Friday in San Gabriel, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Carleton Brooks Miller Chapel of the First Congregational Church.
A former longtime Battle Crek resident, she was the widow of Husted Jones, a well known local realtor and insurance agent, who died in 1951.
Mrs. Jones was born in Cottage Corner, Ohio. She was a graduate of the Battle Creek Sanitarium Nursing School. A member of Oneonto Congregational Church in South Pasadena, Calif., where which she served as a deaconess, Mrs. Jones was also a member of the P. E. O. Sisterhood. She was associated with the Mary Chilton Circle of the First Congregational Church here.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Laurence (Barbara) Smith of La Habre, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. William Schorse of San Gabriel; a brother, Murray Earhart of Yuntsville, Calif. and three grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by the Farley Funeral Home, where friends may call Wednesday morning. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Mable E. Jones Memorial Fund at Oneonto Congregational Church, South Pasadena or the American Heart Association.
