ROCHESTER; Barbara Marie Farrington, 69, of 3B Chestnut St., died Monday May 26, 2008, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

She was born Feb. 5, 1936, in Harmony, Maine, the daughter of the late Llewellyn and Emma (Gilman) Jenkins. She had resided in Rochester since 1960 previously living in Farmington, Maine. She worked as a shoe repairer and antiquer at local shoe factories retiring from Colby Footwear.

Prior to her illness, she enjoyed life and bowling. Mrs. Farrington loved to go camping, going for rides, country music, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Members of her family include her husband of 53 years, Richard W. Farrington, Sr.; son, Richard W. Farrington, Jr. of Ossipee; daughters, Matilda "Jeannie" Peters, Mary Young, Gail Leary and Deborah Perry, all of Rochester; 19 grandchildren to include a special grandson, Kevin Perry, Jr; seven great-grandchildren and three more expected soon; sister, Ethelyn Radcliff of Farmington, Maine; brother, Roger Jenkins of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Thursday 3-5pm at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester. The funeral service will follow at 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery, Rochester, at a later date.
