Wickenburg Mourns Death of Rosa Ellis (Friday, Nov. 18, 1938)
Wickenburg lost one of its most beloved old-time residents when Mrs. Rosa Ellis was taken by death Monday after an illness of a month or more.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Montgomery City, Mo., in 1865 and would have been 74 years old her next birthday. Coming to Wickenburg in 1894, she operated a rooming house until four years ago when it was destroyed by fire.
Honorary pallbearers were Chas. Hyder, Bert Schoof, Erick Rudd, John Grave, O. K. Jones and John Boetto and other pallbearers were Y. M. Martin, Floyd Wachter, Henry Aldrich Sr., Lee Barnette, Roy Pemberton and Tom Richards.
