Nina was the 4th daughter and 12th child of William Newell Oxford and Suda Ella Hughes Oxford. She suffocated when sand caved in upon her and her brother, Johnny, as they played, digging into the side of a bank down in a sand quarry. She was my cousin and 8 years old at the time of her death.
