Harvey was the son of Samuel Jessup Brown and Mary Elizabeth Hatcher Brown.
Funeral services for Harvie S Brown, 53, a resident of Conestee SC, was held at Conestee Methodist Church by Rev WB Godwin. Burial will be at Shiloh Church Cemetery near Piedmont.
Pallbearers were JW Brown, AL Brown, Newton Waters, LC Hudson, Guy Parker and Clint Tucker.
Mr Bown who had been missing since last Tuesday was found dead by a roadside near his home. He had made his home in Conestee for 30 years and was well known there.
Survivors are his wife Ida Brown, daughter Mrs HR Queen of Easley, one son JS Brown of Conestee. A sister Mrs Logan Jenkins, of Augusta Road section, and two brothers John T Brown, of Simpsonville and William Arthur Brown of Greenville, SC.
