Marie worked at Famous-Barr and later at Goldie's. Both were department stores in St. Louis County. Leo was a tool and die maker.
The Tebeaus were members of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in University City for many years.
They enjoyed hosting family and friends for get-togethers at their home in Woodson Terrace. Leo was well-known for his BBQ skills.
Marie and Leo moved to a home at Melody Lake near Leslie, Missouri after they retired.
Leo passed away in 1986.
Children from first marriage: 3 daughters, 2 sons.
Marie married George Fay in January of 1988. They lived at Melody Lake.
George died in 1994 and was buried next to his first wife.
Children from second marriage: None.
Marie suffered from Parkinson's Disease during her later years. She died of heart failure after recuperating from pneumonia. At the time of her death, Marie was 93 years, 5 months and 13 days old.
Marie was survived by 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law; 1 son and daughter-in-law; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to both of her husbands, Marie was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Billy, who died just after his first birthday; 1 daughter, Suzanne Harper; 1 son-in-law, Don Eckert; and 3 sisters, Clieta Ruth Wind, Darlene Hautly and Virginia Stevens.
Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m. on 27 Sep 2012 at Baumann Colonial Chapel on Woodson Road in Overland, St. Louis County, Missouri. Visitation was continued from 9:30 until the beginning of 10:30 a.m. funeral services the following morning at Laclede Groves Chapel on Laclede Station Road in Webster Groves, St. Louis County, Missouri.
Marie was buried next to her first husband, Leo.
