"Mrs. Matie M. Lund, aged 78, of Edmeston, died October 6, at her home following a long illness. Mrs. Lund was born in Burlington Flats, September 13, 1892, the daughter of Amos and Ida (Nichols) Telfer. She was married to Edward Lund in 1929 at Montrose, Pa. He died in 1954. She was employed by the Otsego School in Edmeston and was on night duty for 25 years. Surviving are three sons, Lester Lewis of Mohawk, Allen Lund of Edmeston, and Raymond Lund of New Berlin; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Elizabeth) Green of New Berlin and 20 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday, from the Houk-Johnston Funeral Home, Edmeston, with the Rev. Leonard Davis, officiating. Burial was in Burlington Flats Cemetery."
