ARMS, MR LEON - Age 88 of Maynardville, TN. passed away Monday September 24, 2012 at Tennova Medical Center. Leon was a faithful member and deacon of Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Maynardville Hardware, Inc. Active member of Northern Baptist Association, Children's Miracle Network and other special organizations. Preceded in death by parents, Earnest and Necie Arms.

Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Peggy Needham Arms; sister in law Mary Ann Tharpe and nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend special thanks and gratitude to Kim Beaver, Ruby Dyer, Teresa Johnson, Brenda Sweet, Carl Coppock and many of Leon's special friends. The family also wishes to extend special thanks for all of his physicians. He leaves behind numerous fond memories, especially his talent for music.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 26th, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Byrd's Mortuary, in Maynardville with funeral services to follow at 8:00pm in Byrd's Chapel. Rev. James Dyer, Rev. Herbert Jones, Rev. Robin Ryder officiating. Pallbearers; Martin Beaver, Ermal Breeding, A.B Long, Sonny Sexton, Tony Wallace, Danny Washam. Honorary Pallbearers; Carl Coppock, James Tolliver. Family and friends will meet at 10:15am Thursday at Byrd's mortuary to proceed to Ousley Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service. Byrd's Mortuary Maynardville. TN
