d/o Charles H. & Emma (ANDERSON) PERSELL. w/o Emmett ATTEBERRY.Gladys Attebery, a 103 year old resident of Trenton, passed away at 12:56 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Church of Nazarene in Trenton. Pastor Steve Bramblett will officiate. Scheduled visitation will be held from 6 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Attebery was born on September 28, 1911 in Half Rock,MO the daughter of Charley and Emma (Anderson) Persell. She was married to Emmett Attebery on October 8, 1929 in Milan, MO; he preceded her in death in August of 1964. In the 1920s’ she worked for Swift Company, plucking chickens. During the WWII era, she worked for Goodrich Tires in California. She was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Trenton.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Linda Dannull and her husband, Rex of Trenton, MO, Margaret Ireland and her husband, Richard of Trenton, MO, and Sue Crosier of Riverside, CA; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Don Attebery; a daughter, Patricia Martin; a sister, Kate Ricketts; 2 brothers, Lloyd Persell and Bill Persell; 4 grandchildren, Robyn Crosier, Bruce Martin, Debby Martin, and Brian Martin; and a great grandchild, Hiedi Martin.
