GLADE SPRING - Everett B. Owens Sr., 63, of 35510 Rush Creek Road, died Friday, Dec 17, 1999, in Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va., and a son of the late James and Lucinda Owens.
Surviving are a daughter, Lucinda O. Trent of Glade Spring; a son, Everett B. "Jay" Owens Jr. of Glade Spring; four brothers, Jim Owens, Howard Owens and Roy Owens, all of Chilhowie, and Buddy Owens of Kingsport; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Johnston Funeral Home Chapel in Damascus. The Rev. Ronnie Blevins will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Creek Cemetery.
Among survivors are grandchildren, Cindy Jane Trent and Ricky Lee Trent.
Pallbearers will be Ernie Riley, Carl Riley, Hugh Barlow, Nick Owens, Buddy Owens and Sammy Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Lee Trent.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday in Johnson Funeral Home.
