OBITUARY, Akron Beacon Journal, Sat. 10/21/2006.

On Oct. 19, 2006, with his family gathered by his side, Homer Eugene Hunt "Dad" entered into Heaven and the waiting arms of Jesus. As God has promised, Dad has been reunited for eternity with the love of his life for 54 years, Radna Mae [Baum] Hunt.

He was born on Jan. 1, 1922 in Newcomerstown, Ohio. A member, deacon and elder of the Kenmore Church of Christ, Dad retired from the Ohio Bell Telephone Co, after 42 years of service. He served in the Army in Europe during World War II from 1941-1944. He was a 1941 graduate of Kenmore High School. For many years, he was active in the Boy Scouts with Troop 210 in Great Trail Council, Scout Master of Troop 83 and a District Commissioner. Dad was Past President of the Kenmore Kiwanis. He was a member of Victory Lodge #649 F & AM, AASR Valley of Akron and the SBC Telecom Pioneers. Above all, he will be remembered for his devotion to God and his family.

He leaves behind, his family: daughter, Sue Ann Marin; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Rita, James and Shirley, Dale and Sally, Brian and Sandy; 16 grandchildren who will miss their Grandpa: Adam, Joseph, Jonathan, Laura, Phillip, Matthew, Brian, Christopher, Ryan, Jodi, Erin, Jennifer, Greg, Jeff, Allison and Timothy; 13 great-grandchildren: Rachel, Ethan, Mara, Reed, Anna, Emma, Cassidy, Caden, Mitchell, Emma, Devin, Desmond, Desire; sister, Mary L. Stoneman.

Friends will be welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, Kenmore Blvd. at 8th St and at church, one hour before the time of service. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Kenmore Church of Christ, 1900 East Ave., Akron, Ohio 44314 with Dale Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
