She was born Sept. 16, 1911 in Isabella County and formerly resided in Shepherd. She was a member of the Shepherd VFW Auxiliary and the Vestaburg Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband, Marshall; a son, Marshall, Riverdale; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Barnhart, Augusta and Mrs. Lois Freeman, Vestaburg; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earnest Black, Riverdale, Olan Black, Middleton, Nathan Black, DeWitt; three sisters, Mrs. dorothy Bunker, Wolverine, Mrs. Carrie M. Wieferich, Mount Pleasant, and Mrs. Mary J. Borton, Vestaburg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stebbins Funeral Home, Edmore.
