"On Tuesday, February 8, 1966 at 1:45 o'clock a.m., Barney Philip Gegenheimer Sr., beloved husband of Helen Bertaut; father of Corinne, Barney P., Jr., Mark and Diane Gegenheimer; son of the late Philip Gegenheimer and Margaret Davis; brother of Theresa (Mrs. William Jordan), Doris (Mrs. John Parker), Rita Faye (Mrs. James Garner), Phyllis (Mrs. Charles Hubert), Donald Wray and Charles Marvin Gegenheimer, both of Gretna, La., Pershing Gegenheimer of Connecticut, and the late T.J. Gegenheimer [I believe this is Thomas J - my note]; age 50 years; a native of Gretna, La., and a resident of Kenner, La. for the past five years...(more)

He was a member of the Crescent City Lodge No. 37, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers..

Interment February 9, 1966 in McDonogh Cemetery.

NOTE: It appears Barney was married twice - first to Margaret Vera Hollis in Texas, of which a son and daughter were born, and second to Helen Bertaut of which 2 sons and 2 daughters were born. In the obituary of Barney, the first wife and their children are not mentioned yet the first wife is buried in the same cemetery as Barney. If anyone can clarify or correct me, please contact me.
