MICHAEL COTTER WAS KILLED BY INTERURBAN
Accident Happened in Auburn Where Decedent Was Employed---Body Arrives Tonight.
Michael Cotter met death suddenly yesterday morning in Auburn, by being run over by an interurban car in that town. The news came to the family yesterday afternoon at their home 1010 Powell street, and the shock was a severe blow to the bereaved family.
Michael Cotter was 57 years old and was born in County Cork, Ireland. He came to the United States about 30 years ago and settled in Springfield, where he was married to Mary O'Neill. Surviving is the wife, four sons---Patrick, Michael, Barney and Arthur, also three daughters---Mrs. L. Fidler, Agnes and Hanna. He was a miner by vocation and was a member of the miners' union. The family has resided in Streator for 23 years.
The body will be shipped to this city tonight and arrangements for the funeral will be made later.
