Maria Anna Magdalena (Weber) Schultz was born Aug. 20, 1908, in Lincoln County to Gerhard Weber and his wife Helene (Wiegert) Weber. Maria was baptized into the Christian faith on Aug. 30, 1908, at St. John Lutheran Church.
She was confirmed at St. John on May 21, 1922.
Maria worked at home and in Salina. On May 30, 1948, Maria was married to Earl Schultz of Salina at St. John Lutheran Church. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Mary.
Maria was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina.
Maria died on Thursday, April 23, 1992, at home in Salina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her parents; one sister, Erna Meyer; and one brother, Paul Weber. She was 83 years, eight months and three days old.
Maria is survived by her daughter, Mary, and two grandchildren, all of Salina; two sisters, Pauline Meyer of Topeka and Luella Oppliger of Lincoln; one sister-in-law, Hilda Weber of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Monday, April 27, 1992, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial was in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
