Donaldson was a ship's carpenter, and died at sea in the West Indies which was a great sorrow to Priscilla. She received a pension of her son John's military service as John never married.

Priscilla was related to Lord Brian Fairfax. Brian Fairfax's second wife was Jane Donaldson, mentioned in George Washington's diaries as Jane and her brother John Donaldson having dinner with him. When Priscilla was a child she rode in a carriage with retired president George Washington, and eventually she married the nephew of Lady Jane Fairfax, William Donaldson, son of John Donaldson of Loudoun, Virginia.
Priscilla and William's only child who had children was Harriott Donaldson Rowles, wife of Captain Joshua Jennings Rowles who was in the Navy, and a pirate chaser. Harriot's son William D. Rowles of Sarpy Co., Nebraska was a Nebraska Legislator. His grave is Wm. D. Rowles buried behind and to the left of Priscilla's grave. Priscilla lived out the latter years of her life in the home of her granddaughter Frances E. Rowles Daley Bosteder in Hugo, Colorado, where I last saw her as she was bed-ridden.
