Thomas Berry, Jr., age 89 years, died at the home of his son, L. J. Berry in Greensburg Sunday, Nov. 5th at 12:30 o'clock after having been confined to his bed for seven weeks. Mr. Berry prior to his confinement had been able to do much work as quilting and other needle work. In the past two years he had made more than 15 quilts. He was one of the county's oldest citizens and was highly respected and liked by all who knew him during the many years he lived in this county. In addition to his children surviving there are 103 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren, and 8 great, great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Tuesday with Rev. A. A. Banta and the deceased's grandson, Rev. Jim Bloyd in charge.

Children: Bettie Cat, Virgie Ann, Samuel Taylor, Wm Thomas, twins John and Mattie.

Spouse 4: Alice (Hedgespeth) Shufner, widow of James A. Shufner.
