February 2, 1916 - December 1, 2010
MT. ANGEL - Lawrence was born into a family of 13 siblings, on a farm in Sublimity, to Jacob and Margaret (Lulay) Frank. He purchased the family farm from his parents and lived there the first 87 years of his life. He raised multiple crops and operated a custom grass seed cleaning business. He married Veronica Wampach in Mt. Angel in 1940 and lived with her on the Sublimity farm until 2003 when they moved to Mt. Angel. He was a devoted member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Sublimity community. Lawrence served on multiple community and business boards such as St. Boniface Parish Council, St. Boniface PTA, Regis PTA, Sublimity Fire Insurance Board, and Wilco Farmers Board. Fishing and Hunting with friends and family brought him many happy times. Reno was a favorite destination to get away and try his luck.
Veronica preceded him in death in 2003.
He is survived by his daughter, Janice Baird of Wilsonville; son, Jerry Frank and his wife Sara of Portland; sister, Marcie Hafner of Stayton; brother, Leonard Frank of Forest Grove; four grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 with the Memorial Mass following at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010, both at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. Contributions to St. Boniface Church or Lawrence and Veronica Frank Fund care of Regis High School. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services. Online condolences to Weddle-Funeral.com
