Miss Mary Wood Higgason, 90 years of age, died at the Parkhurst Nursing Home in Glasgow, Tuesday, April 5. She was born in Green County, June 20, 1875, the daughter of Granville and Lucy Katherine Sandidge Higgason. Miss Higgason leaves two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Russell, Greensburg, and Mrs. Dollie Cook, Petersburg, Illinois and one brother, Wilder Higgason, Buffalo. Professing faith in Christ early in life she was a member of the Richland Baptist Church in Illinois at the time of her death. Funeral services were conducted in the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home at 10 o'clock, Thursday, the 7th of April. Interment was in the Sandidge Cemetery. The Rev. V. A. Jones officiated. Pallbearers were Harry and John Higgason, David Matherly, Leon, Gene and Damon Russell.
