Edwin N. Wentworth, 84 of Derry, N.H. died Saturday, February 14, 2004 in his home in Derry.

Mr. Wentworth was born in Lynn, MA on October 20, 1919, a son of the late Louis and Abby (Newhall) Wentworth.

He was a resident of Derry for 60 years, formerly living in Lynn, MA. He attended the Stetson Home for Boys in Barre, MA and was a graduate of Essex Agricultural, Class of 1937. He was self employed as a stone and brick mason in the Derry area for many years. He was a member of the IOOF in Lynn, MA. Mr. Wentworth loved gardening, and was an avid baker, having received third place in the Mack's Apple Pie Contest in 1999. He genuinely loved people and was always ready with a joke.

He is survived by two daughters, Sally Machia of Derry, Ginny Wentworth of Derry, one son, George Smart of Manchester, N.H., and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Madeline (Sweezy) Wentworth in 1995 and one brother Louis Wentworth in 1996.
