J.G. ADLER, RAIL WORKER, DEAD AT 79

John G. Adler, 79, formerly of 494 Garfield St., died at 7:25 p.m. Friday at Rolling Meadows.

Born Sept. 22, 1888, in Eau Claire, he was married to the former Mary Hoppe.

A member of St. Patrick’s Church, he was a boilermaker for the Soo Line Railroad retiring in 1955.

Survivors include two sons, Merril and Robert, both of Fond du Lac; four daughters, Mrs. Fern Timmons and Mrs. Leroy Hess, both of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Ted Walczak and Mrs. Melvin Koeppl, both of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Makie and Mrs. Arthur Leichtfeldt, both of Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren and 18 great=-grandchildren.

His wife, one daughter, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, Rev. Claude T. O’Brien officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral services for John G. Adler, who died Friday, were held today at 9:30 a.m. from Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 10 a.m. from St .Patrick’s Church.

Rev. Donald Elverman officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Thomas Hilbert, Donald Fincke, Thomas Adler, John Adler, Richard Timmons and Chester Mueller.
