She was born in Ilion, NY on February 23, 1915, the daughter of the late Fred and Nan [Hessel] Covey. Mrs. Behrens was a graduate of Tonawanda High School and later became the office manager for the Anderson Construction Co. in Buffalo, NY, for many years, before retiring. She became a member of the Rosedale Rebekah Lodge 386, on June 11, 1946 and was a member of the Home Rebekah Lodge 263, where she was actively involved over the years. Mrs. Behrens was an avid collector of antiques.
She was the wife of the late Arthur Behrens, who died in December of 2002, they were married on September 3, 1938.
Mrs. Behrens was the sister of the late Russell and Albert Covey, Glenness Jones and Ethel Johns.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
