Sister was a nurse.

Sister Mary Devota, 80, died last night at the Holy Family convent, Silver Lake.

A funeral mass will be said at the Holy Family convent, Silver Lake, at 8 a.m.

Thursday.

She was born Mary Baumann (sic) in Austria in 1868 and when a child came to this

county with her parents, who located on a farm near Branch. She entered the Holy

Family convent in 1890 and celebrated her golden jubilee in 1940.

Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Verona Wagner of Marshfield, Mrs. Anna Senmatz

of Branch, Mrs. Joseph Krippner Sr., of this city, Sister M. Sophia of Holy Family

convent; brother, Frank of this city and several nieces and nephews. A brother,

Louis of Marshfield and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Lemberger of Clarks Mills, preceded

her in death.

Court record notes she was born at Branch, Manitowoc County but the obit notes different. Suggest the archives at the Motherhouse would be the place to check even though the court house is the legal record.
