(SMYRNA, Ga.) Robert Keith Cone, 82, of Smyrna, formerly of West Point, Ga.,died Thursday, June 5, 1997.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jim Cone of Smyrna, formerly of West Point,Ga.; daughter, Annette Cone-Skelton of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Roger K. Cone of Marietta, Ga., and Charles A. Cone of Atlanta; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Cone were at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at First United Methodist Church in West Point with Dr. William Burch and the Rev. James W. Thurman, Jr. officiating. Burial was in LaGrange at Hillview Annex Cemetery.

He was a World War II veteran, U.S. Navy, a member of First United Methodist Church of West Point, was a retired overseer for the cotton textile industry throughout Georgia and Alabama, and was a member of American Legion Post 75, LaGrange, Division "Forty and Eight".

Castellas Funeral Home, Smyrna, was in charge of local arrangements, and McCarthy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements in West Point.
