CENTRAL KENTUCKY NEWS JOURNAL OBITUARY – 2002
Mamie E. Wright, 85, of Greensburg, died on Sunday, September 8, 2002, at Metcalfe County Nursing Home in Edmonton, KY. Daughter of the late [William G. & Sarah Catherine Oakes Wright,] she was born on February 15, 1917 in Green County and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was married to the Rev. Charles Bradley Wright on February 3, 1923. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1975. Survivors include 1 daughter, Beatrice Irene Loyall of Greensburg; 3 sons, Robert Sylvester Wright of Campbellsville, the Rev. Herbert Lester Wright of Greensburg, and Randall Lee Wright; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Four sisters and one brother, Mary Gentry, Jane Noe, Ara Moran, Evelyn Chaudoin and Porter Lonzo Wright also preceded her in death. Funeral was at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 10 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial in Macedonia Cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Downey officiated. Pallbearers were Tommy Wright, Bobby Wright, Adam Rainwater, Larry Loyall, Aaron Rainwater and Chad Sweet.
