Hold Services For Mrs. Gowin
Mrs. Jess Gowin, 71, Route 3 Corsicana, died at Memorial Hospital Sunday morning.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Corley Chapel with burial in the Dresden Cemetery. The rites were conducted by Rev. H. N. Kupferle, pastor of the First Methodist church.
Native of Alabama, she had resided in this area for 67 years.
Surviving are her husband, two brothers, Homer Hopkins of Blooming Grove, and John Hopkins of Corsicana; five sisters, Mrs. Lillie King, Fort Worth; Mrs. Pearl Watkins and Mrs. Abbie Morton, both of Corsicana; Mrs. Alice Derryberry and Mrs. Pink Richards, both of Blooming Grove, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Nephews were pallbearers.
