John L. Biddle, a six-month resident of Somerset, Massachusetts, formerly of Bridgewater, Massachusetts and Smyrna, Delaware, died Wednesday December 13, 2006 in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
He was 59.
Mr. Biddle was born February 20, 1947 in Dover, Delaware and raised in Smyrna.
He was a graduate of John Bassett Moore High School in Smyrna and attended the Berkeley School of Music.
He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and played in the Navy Band.
He worked as a self-employed motorcycle mechanic in Bridgewater for several years and was also the former owner of North East Anglers in East Bridgewater.
His hobbies included boating, model trains, the outdoors and music.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley "Bonnie" Pase Biddle; his father, Ralph Biddle of Smyrna; two brothers-in-law, Richard Pase and his wife Mary of Jupiter, Florida and Austin Pase and his wife Bette Ann of Smyrna; two sisters-in-law, Carole Handsberry and her husband, Gene of Smyrna and Pat Conley and her husband, Wes of Clayton, Delaware and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Services will be Wednesday December 20, 2006 at 2PM in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Smyrna, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 1151 Walker Road Suite 202 Dover, DE 19904 or to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th Street Suite 1002 Wilmington, DE 19801 or to the National Kidney Foundation, 325 Chestnut Street Suite 725 Philadelphia, PA 19106.
